Questions from the playroom
The ones that arrive most often, answered at length rather than in a line.
Everything we are asked
Is the compound in every tub the same?
The body is the same family — a pre-made, non-sticky butter compound tuned to release from skin. What changes between tubs is the blend ratio, the pigment and the scent. The Butter Cloudz bucket leans airier; the single tubs are denser; the glow buddy carries a phosphorescent pigment the open tubs do not.
What age are the tubs for?
Four and up. Below that, the risk is not the compound but the mouth — it is non-toxic, which is not the same as edible. Between four and six an adult nearby is sensible; from seven it is a solo toy.
Do I need to add an activator?
No, and please do not. Every tub arrives fully mixed and rested. Extra activator makes the body rubbery and it tears; there is no way back from that.
Can the compound stain?
On skin, no — it releases cleanly. On carpet, upholstery or raw wood, the pigment takes hold and stays. Work on a tray or a wipe-clean surface and the question never comes up.
How many tubs does a class need?
One each, which is why the sealed multipacks exist. Twenty-four covers a class party with spares; forty-eight covers a class of thirty with enough left for a second event later in the year.
What happens when a tub finally dries?
It is finished. A stiff rim can be kneaded back into a soft middle, but a tub that has set through cannot be revived — water makes it slippery outside and hard inside, and lotion makes it greasy forever.
Are the scents strong?
Single tubs are noticeable from arm's length; the assorted mini tubs are deliberately lighter, because thirty of them open at once in one classroom is a different proposition.
Where do prices on these pages come from?
They are what we last read from the partner store's listing. Stores move prices on their own schedule, so the number at the till is the one that decides.
Can I ask about an order here?
We never see it. Tracking, delivery dates, returns and replacements are all on the order page of the store you bought from, and they can act on them the same day.
Do you make anything that is not slime?
Sticker refills and the glow buddy sit beside the tubs, and both exist because of what happens at a slime table rather than in spite of it. Everything else on our shelves is compound.
Still stuck?
Write to scoop@compoundkings.pages.dev about scents, textures, ages and counts. Anything about an order — tracking, a refund, a replacement — lives on the order page of the partner store you bought from, and they can act on it the same day.
